How the Wedding Celebrant Process Works | Adelaide

Step 1 — Finding the Right Celebrant

There are so many great celebrants in Adelaide, each with their own style and personality. Take your time exploring what feels right for you as a couple — reach out, ask questions and trust your instincts. 

Step 2 — Thinking I Might Be the One?

Amazing! If you feel like I could be the right fit for your wedding day, get in touch and we’ll start the conversation. I’d love to hear your plans and what you’re envisioning. 

Step 3 — Let’s Meet Properly

We’ll arrange a call, FaceTime or a relaxed catch-up at a café or pub. It’s a chance to get to know each other, chat about your ceremony ideas and have you ask any questions about my style. After this meeting, I can provide a personalised quote based on what you need. 

Step 4 — Locking Everything In

If it feels right and you’d like me to be your celebrant, I’ll send a summary of the services, your quote and the booking fee details. Once the booking fee is paid, your date is secured. 

Step 5 — Getting Started

With everything locked in, we schedule our next meeting to begin the legal paperwork and, most importantly, for me to learn more about your story as a couple. 

Step 6 — Crafting Your Ceremony

I start creating your personalised ceremony based on everything we’ve discussed. If I’m also your MC, I’ll share an initial reception schedule too. Communication stays open throughout — phone, text or email, whatever works best for you. 

Step 7 — The Rehearsal

If your package includes a rehearsal, we’ll run through everything the week before (or the day before). This is especially important for larger wedding parties — it calms nerves, sets expectations and makes sure everyone knows exactly what’s happening. 

Step 8 — The Wedding Day

I arrive around an hour before the ceremony to set up, meet the other vendors and welcome guests. Once everyone is ready, we begin the ceremony — relaxed, heartfelt and completely “you.” 

Step 9 — After the Ceremony

Once you’re whisked away for photos, I take care of the legal documents and hand your Marriage Certificate to a trusted family member or friend. You don’t need to worry about a thing.  Before I head off, we grab a quick photo, share a hug and make sure you’re all set to enjoy the rest of your day. 

Step 10 — MC Services (Optional, but Fun!)

If I’m also your MC, I stay on through the reception to guide the formalities, keep everything flowing and bring great energy to the evening. We’ll have already planned the run sheet so you can enjoy the night without thinking about timing or logistics.
